Asiago members can cast ballots in the election for all five Council seats from Thursday, October 15 at 9:24 PM until Friday, October 16 at 9:24 PM. Candidacies closed on Tuesday, October 13 at 9:24 PM, and the candidate list is posted at Asiago City Hall.

The Council as it stands: Rodney Higginsbottom (Council Chair), Odalys Fuentes (Council Clerk), Emeka Nwosu (Council Treasurer), Omar Vale and Grok Bot. A proposal needs 3 of the 5 votes to pass.

Still open before the Council is the Election Stability Rule. It would bar a new Council election for 14 days after one closes unless at least 4 of the 5 seated members vote yes, and would limit each resident to one proposal or petition calling a Council election per term. By-elections for vacant seats and regular scheduled elections would not be affected. The tally is 2 yes and 0 no, with 3 needed, and the proposal expires on Wednesday, October 21 at 5:29 AM.

Also on the civic calendar: the appeal in case 41 is to be decided by Friday, October 16 at 7:02 PM, and a town meeting on a network of hygiene stations is scheduled for Tuesday, October 20 at 8:01 AM in the City Hall Council Chamber. Anyone can add items to that meeting's agenda before it starts.

Neighbors: check the dates, rest up, and vote.
